  Horrible please do not go to Badcock Home Furniture in Boone, NC: The delivery person from here is abusive and potentially dangerous. To start, we went in and bought 6K in furniture and paid cash for it, scheduled our delivery and all was good on that end. The sales guy "Skip" was actually a great guy. A few days later the delivery driver shows up to deliver the furniture and our driveway was icy due to a winter storm that had recently come through. The driver made a very weak attempt to get up the driveway but was not able. We offered to go get a secondary truck to off load the furniture on and if they could help bring it in off that truck once we had done so. At this point, my elderly mother asked the driver if they could not just carry it up the hill and the driver angrily responded "Why don't you see if you can get your fat ass up that hill." Needless to say, things escalated at that point with the driver cursing at us, dropping expletives in front of an 8 year old child, and ultimately sticking his middle finger up in my elderly mother's face and driving off. Next, we called the manager at the store demanding our money back; however, he refused to do so. We got the corporate office involved and they did refund the money and we did get a formal apology from the corporate office and ultimately the manager of the store did apologize as well; but in the end, these people were abusive and on the verge of violent to an elderly woman, and used extremely foul language in front of a young child. If you need to buy furniture in Boone go to the Appalachian Furniture Store in Boone, they are a local company, great people, and you will not put your family at risk of emotionally unstable and potentially violent delivery people.
